At one point of time, he was in the news for the wrong reasons: murdering a budding rapper: Richard Phillips. The fight started at a convenience regarding a flyer that was pretty much outdated. MacArthur was charged with obstruction of justice, illegal use of a weapon and also a second-degree murder. He later told the media and reporters that he had only fired in self-defense. He was released on bail which was reportedly set at $370,000.
Before he was 19, he used to rap as Mighty Mike. Being highly influenced by the much more celebrated rapper, 21 Savage, he began copying everything: style, voice and even songs! He got so over himself that in an interview, he claimed that he was “way better” than 21 Savage.
