He had rough childhood days and grew up with his brother, Ronald Williams in the crime-ridden Magnolia Projects located in New Orleans. He got involved in robberies and started selling drugs before getting arrested when he was 16. Later on, he again went to prison at the age of 18 for drug possession and was sentenced to three years in Elayn Hunt Correctional Center where he served the sentence for 18 months before being released of all the charges.

In the year 2009, he released his fourth album called ‘Priceless.’ Later, Birdman released the mixtape ‘Rich Gang: Allstars’ along with Rich Boss in the year 2013 which features singles from Rich Gang artists such as Lil Wayne’s “Love Me” featuring Drake and Future, Ace Hood’s “Bugatti” featuring Future and Ross, Drake’s “Started From the Bottom” and Kevin Rudolf’s “Champions” featuring Lil Wayne, Birdman as well as Fred Durst.
