Juanita Bynum ( Chicago , Illinois January 16, 1959 ) is a Pentecostal televangelist ,author , actress and American Gospel singer.
Prophetess Juanita Bynum is one of 5 children, from the marriage of Elder Thomas Bynum and Bynum Katherine. She grew up in Chicago , and was given a lead role in the annual Perry Middle School play by My Fair Lady . Bynum attended Academy Saints' Church of God in Christ (COGIC) High School (a school) in Lexington , Mississippi . Bynum was raised as a participant in the St. Luke's Church of God in Christ, inChicago , a Pentecostal church.
After Bynum graduated from high school, she began preaching at nearby churches and revivals. Gaining some notoriety at this point, she began a series of what she calls "Lessons in Submission."
In 1996 ,Bishop TD Jakes invited Bynum to attend one of his singles' conferences, where she switched from participant to "loudspeaker" in 2 years.
