Following the music group’s first compilation album Decade of Decadence 81-91 Mötley Crüe separated ways with Vince Neil in Feb 1992. Neil finalized a deal with Warner Brothers for $4 million. He managed to earn a $2 million advance on his first records. He filed a case and sued Mötley Crüe for 25% of their future earnings and charged $5 million in losses for being fired.
In 1992, Neil launched his first individual album. He mentioned that the music was written in 20 minutes with his friends Jack Blades and Tommy Shaw. The solo “You’re Invited (But Your Friend Can’t Come)” was presented on the Encino Man soundtrack.
